I Have A Website Again

You may or may not know this, but I carry pride over being able to pick up new skills when I want to. Naturally, in 2014, I decided I would teach myself how to build a website. Based off a friend's recommendation, I went with Adobe Muse and built a hybrid website-digital portfolio.

It looked like crap.

That website has so often been the bane of my existence. It wasn't easy to navigate, back then my visual design skills were not good, and it was just tedious to upkeep. Especially in the last four years, my interests and "brand" have changed so much. When I started that website, I labeled myself a theatrical sound designer. Now I label myself something so far from that. I'm doing work in the journalism and media industries, as well as art and entertainment. I don't really do theater anymore, and so instead of doing a complete re-design of the already crappy website, I decided I'd do an overhaul and start from scratch in a place where starting from scratch wasn't going to be the worst thing in the world. (Read as: I'm letting squarespace do the hard work.)

One of my favorite things about this new website is this blog aspect! I love writing and laying out my life in a narrative form - it helps me process things, so it's quite therapeutic. Plus, those who care about what I'm up to can catch up with me here. It's a win-win-win.

Anyway, welcome to my new little corner of the internet. I'm not sure when this website will go live yet, but you'll be able to find what I'm up to with the various projects I work on and on this wild ride that is the second half of my twenties.

Enjoy.
